August 9, 2013 – Last Day of WMO

Today was the last day of the white marlin open and the last chance for some captains to make that leaderboard. A few of our boats throughout the week have held positions on the leaderboard at Harbor Island including Captain Roy Rea who held a leaderboard position for his 40 pound wahoo. Congrats to both of those crews on their great efforts! Today the “Playtime” with Captain Ron Taylor returned with 3 yellow fin and a 148 pound big eye. Unfortunately the big eye was fileted before we could get a picture! After a half day of inshore fishing Captain Ed Kauffman on the “Jade II” reports high numbers (50+) bluefish. Captain Mark Sampson on the “Fish Finder” also released a variety of sharks today including spinners and duskys. Bay fishing has been pretty great recently as well Captain Nick Clemente on the “Get Sum” had 4 keepers in his morning trip and 2 in his afternoon among the keepers. The “Bay Bee” also had keepers and throwbacks between his two trips today. Overall the fishing is great right now the tuna are still here and the white marlin are starting to show up! Don’t miss your opportunity to fish with Ocean City’s Premier Charter fleet today!! If you would like to make a reservation or have any questions please feel free to give us a call or stop on in we would love to hear from you!! (410) 213 1121
