Captains Prepare for the 25th Annual Tuna Tournament! July 12, 2012

Today some of our captains took a break from their tournament preparations to go fishing. The “Tighten Up” with Captain Jason Genthner earned high hook for the day with 2 impressive big eye tuna, and 4 yellow fin; the two big eye weighed in at 177 and 183 pounds. (see photo) Captain Steve Reddish on the “Blue Runner” released a white today and returned to the docks to hang 2 nice sized yellow fin. Aboard the “Reel Addiction” Captain Greg Ignash led his crew to a nice sized gaffer dolphin. Another large dolphin was seen on the “Playtime” with Captain Ron Taylor. The bay private charter the “Get Sum” with Captain Nick Clementehad a successful day today returning with very happy customers and reports of 4 keepers in the morning and 5 at night two of which were around 23″ he also reported throwbacks, crabs, clams and good times. On the head boat the “Bay Bee” Captain Mikey Walsh had a total of 6 keepers (18″>) and a multitude of throwbacks between his two trips. Fishing is really picking up and the big eye and yellow fin have stuck around and will hopefully be making an appearance on the docks for weigh-ins.
Join us for weigh-ins tomorrow between 4 and 7:30 and come see big fish!
