First Day of Summer

With nice weather comes great fishing! The break in the less than favorable weather has lent way to some great fishing offshore and in the bay. The “Game On” with Captain John Yost earned high hook today returning from their trip with 18 yellow fin tuna. Captain Rob Skillman on the “Moore Bills” had a similar day returning with 6 nice yellowfin the heaviest weighing in at 79 pounds. Tuna action was seen on the “Why Not” with Captain Wade Lober today as well. Closer to land on a half day inshore Captain Dave Wentling on the “Instigator” returned from a fun filled morning returning with 20 bluefish in the fish box. Captain Mark Sampson on the “Fish Finder” reports releasing a variety of shark species while fishing inshore today as well.  In the bay Captain Cale Layton aboard the bay fishing head boat the “Bay Bee” reported some flounder action today with a total of 3 keepers between his two 4 hour trips accompanied by throwbacks. On the bay private charter the “Get Sum” Captain Nick Clemente lead his crew to a keeper flounder accompanied by throwbacks and a 1/2 a bushel of crabs during his morning trip. Overall the fishing has begun to pick up just as summer has begun!
