July 18, 2012 July is flying by!!!

Today only two of our boats ventured offshore and both had a great deal of success. The “Last Call” with Franky Pettolina returned with 7 yellow fin tuna, which combined had a total stringer weight of 330 pounds. A similar day was had with Captain Jason Genthner on the “Tighten Up” who also returned with 7 yellow fin, unfortunately no stringer weight was reported. Right now the offshore tuna bite has been exceptional especially on the chunk at the Hot Dog. The bay fishing seemed to slow a small bit today. Captain Nick Clemente on the bay private charter the “Get Sum” had reports of large numbers of throwbacks (17″<) but none were quite keeper size. Throughout his morning and afternoon trips customers were also able to crab and clam and returned with plenty of the two. The “Bay Bee” with Captain Cale Layton at the helm had two trips full of throwbacks, but neither seemed to produce a keeper flounder. The flounder bite is anticipated to be better as the week goes on. Overall the tuna bite has been phenomenal these past few days, the only thing we are missing are anglers! Don't miss your opportunity to fish with Ocean City's Premier Charter Fleet today!!!
