The Ocean City Fishing Center saw some decent tuna action today as our boats returned and turned in their catch reports! Overall the bite did not seem as hot today as yesterday but was still pretty good! First to return today was the “Game On” with Captain Jon Yost who put a good sized blue fin in the box, some gaffer dolphin and after a short stop at the wrecks some sea bass! The “Jade II” with Captain Ed Kauffman returned with 2 blue fin and a hammer of a yellow fin tuna. The yellow fin weighed in at 81 pounds and snagged the current leaderboard position. Captain Mark Robbins had a good day aboard the “Husevo” today with 2 blue fin and some very nice gaffer dolphin. Another 2 blue fin were brought back by the Captain Butch Davis on the “Fin-Ness” today along with Captain Mark Deimler of the “Reel Attitude”. Captain Rob Skillman on the “Moore Bills” came in a little later than most but returned with 3 nice yellow fin after a day at the canyons. Last to arrive back to the dock was Captain Dale Lisi on the “Foolish Pleasures” who returned with 5 very nice yellow fin. The “Muff Diver” had yet to return when we went to post however we were told that the crew had a few nice yellow fin in the box and would arrive back shortly, stay posted for a full report tomorrow. Not all of the boats saw tuna today the “Playmate” with Captain Jeremy Shandrowski reported a white marlin release today. On our ocean headboat the “Morning Star” Captain Monty Hawkins found what some may say to be a confused blue fin while he was fishing inshore today among his many sea bass. Congrats to Captain Monty! Bay fishing has been fairly constant and all of our bay boats the “Bay Bee, “Get Sum” and the “OC Guide Service” are reporting high number of croakers, throwback flounder while searching for the elusive keeper flounder. Tomorrow is the last day of the kid’s classic and we have a few of the local kids fishing, we wish them the best of luck tomorrow and tight lines!
