Today was a day for tuna. The “Reel Addiction” with Captain Ron Calis was first to return to the docks today. The crew had 2 yellow fin and an impressive dolphin. Aboard the “Tighten Up” Captain Jason Genthner returned with a yellow fin tuna, and also reported releasing a white marlin and seeing some blue marlin today. Captain Dale Lisi on the “Foolish Pleasures” had an impressive stringer of 6 yellow fin. Five of the fish weighed a combined 230 pounds. High hook for the day is awarded to Captain Ed Kauffman on the “Jade II” who led his crew to 11 nice yellow fin that weighed a total of 510 pounds. Further inshore Captain Mark Sampson on the “Fish Finder” found the sharks today, releasing 6 dusky, a spinner and a sand bar shark throughout his two trips. Bay fishing has started to pick back up again, and we are seeing higher numbers of keeper flounder (17″>). Captain Nick Clemente on the private bay fishing charter the “Get Sum” returned from his morning trip with 4 keepers, and 3 keepers in the afternoon. The “Bay Bee” with Captain Mikey Walsh also had a good day today with throwbacks, and keepers. Overall the fishing has picked up and were just missing anglers.
