“Moore Bills” with Captain Rob Skillman

OFFSHORE: The boats in the fleet that remained offshore overnight returned with full fish reports. The “Moore Bills” with Captain Rob Skillman returned reporting releasing 16 white marlin and 4 gaffer dolphin. Captain Wayne Bradford also returned from a 36 hour trip and released 3 white marlin, a blue marlin, and killed a 131 pound big eye, and a nice gaffer dolphin. Captain Dale Lisi also took a 36 hour trip for this tournament and returned with a 136 pound big eye . On a day trip today Captain Chris on the “Spring Mix” released 3 white marlin, and a blue. A similar report was given by Captain Steve Pfeiffer on the “Game Over” who also took a standard 12 hour day trip and reported releasing 3 white marlin, a shark and had some dolphin. On the “Game On” Captain Jon Yost reported some nice dolphin and seeing a very nice wahoo. More dolphin were caught by Captain Ed Kauffman on the “Jade II” who had 3 very nice gaffers. On the “Wrecker” Captain Jeremy Blunt also brought back a handful of dolphin, among plenty of tilefish and seabass. Some of our slip holders also fished offshore the last few days and had good days. One of our regulars Captain Scott Marsden on the “About Time” had a good day today reporting a white marlin release and a very nice gaffer dolphin. The “Talkin Trash” reported releasing a large blue marlin, returned with 6 dolphin. Captain Wayne Lauman on the “Fugitive” also had dolphin, and blue line tilefish today. INSHORE: Bay fishing is still doing well, and our boats are picking through ample throwbacks for good sized keepers. The “Bay Bee” with Captain Cale Layton had a mixture of throwbacks and keepers between his three trips today! On the “OC Guide Service” Captain John Prather had 5 keeper flounder and 7 rays among throwback flounder. Captain Nick Clemente on the “Get Sum” had a similar day as well with throwbacks on his morning trip and 5 keepers in the afternoon. Offshore the marlin seem to be beginning to bite and we are still seeing good sized and numbers of flounder in the bay.
