June starts off right! June 1, 2013

Today was an exciting day at the fishing center that was full of a variety of shark species! Captain Mark Sampson on the “Fish Finder” had the heaviest mako today weighing in at 189 pounds. High hook went to Captain Rob Skillman on the “Moore Bills” who reported 14 blue shark releases and returned with a mako. Another fantastic day of shark filled fishing was had on the “Blood Sweat and Tears” with Captain Jeremy Blunt who reported releasing 2 makos, 2 blue sharks, and a hammerhead. The “Reel Attitude” with Captain Mark Deimler also had a good day of fishing and reported releasing a few makos and blue sharks. Yet another mako was released on the “Bill$ 4 Bills” with Captian Mike Conner. Our private boats also had a great deal of luck today.  Captain Ron Bortnick on the “Lady J” returned with a substantial sized mako weighing in at 112 pounds. Aboard the “Out-rea-geous” another private boat Captain Rea Roy landed a 217 pound thresher shark. A 118 pound mako was also boated on the “Lunasea” with Captain Larry Dougherty at the helm.  While shark fishing has really picked up, the bay fishing continues to improve as well! Captian Cale Layton on the bay fishing headboat the “Bay Bee” had a good day of flounder fishing with 3 keepers on his morning trip and 2 keepers in the afternoon all accompanied by throwbacks. Overall the fishing is hot right now! Don't miss your opportunity to fish with Ocean City's Premier Charter Fleet today!!!
