Lots of Fish! July 05, 2013

As the smoke from the fireworks subsided the fishing seemed to explode! We had an extremely busy day at the Fishing Center today as nearly all of our fleet went fishing. A n impressive blue fin tuna was caught aboard ton of our private boats the “Out- Rea-Geous.” The bluefin weighed in at 182 pounds and snagged the leaderboard position(see below)! Captain Rob Skillman on the “Moore Bills” had a great day today and returned with his limit on bluefin (1 over and 1 under) the larger weighing in at 158 pounds accompanied by a yellow fin tuna and some dolphin (see below). The large blue fin were among another 6 that were released. More blue fin action was had on the “Playmate” today with Captain Jeremy Shandrowski who returned with 2 bluefin and a dolphin for a total weight of 156 pounds. Captain Jeremy Blunt on the “Blood Sweat & Tears” also returned with a bluefin today. Bluefin were also seen on the “All In” with  Captain Mark Radcliffe and the “Game Changer” with Captain Fred Husman. On the “Foolish Pleasures” with Captain Dale Lisi at the helm 2 nice blue fin were brought back to the docks. Yellowfin are still and Captain Mike Conner on the Bill$ 4 Bills” returned with a substantial sized yellowfin today. Closer to shore the action did not stop. Captain Ed Kauffman on the “Jade II” returned from an full day inshore with plenty of bluefish in the box and also reported 2 atlantic sharpnose. On another inshore trip Captain Steve Pfeiffer on the “Game Over” returned with reports of heavy sea bass action. As always Captain Mark Sampson on the “Fish Finder” had a day full of shark releases as well as 2 tog, 5 seabass, and 6 spadefish. Our private boats had success today. Aboard the “Luna-Sea” Captain Larry Dougherty returned with a nice blue fin. Heavy tuna action was reported from Captain Dickerson from the “Stress Reel-ief.”  The “Bay Bee” reported 4 keepers and extremely high numbers of throwbacks between all three trips.  More keeper flounder and high numbers of throwbacks were also the bulk of the report from Captain Nick Clemente on the “Get Sum” who also reported some crabs and clams today. As you can tell fishing is hot and is continuing to heat up as the summer continues!!!
