Quality over Quantity July 25, 2014

It was quality over quantity today at the fishing center! A majority of our boats that went offshore did not come back with large numbers of small fish rather smaller numbers of BIG fish! The “Wrecker” with Captain Jeremy Blunt had a good day today with a very nice big that was close to 200 pounds and a very nice 27 gaffer dolphin, the fish were also followed by two impressive blue fin tuna and a white marlin release see photo. Captain Jon Yost radioed his catch report in tonight from the “Game On” and was thrilled to report to very nice big eye tuna. The tuna were estimated to be around 200 pounds and 180 pounds. Aboard the “Foolish Pleasures” Captain Dale Lisi lead his crew to plenty of dolphin ranging in sizes! In the bay the croaker bite has still been hot! Captain Jon Prather of the “OC Guide Service” also saw a keeper flounder today, among throwback rockfish and flounder. On the “Get Sum” Captain Nick Clemente had a successful day with flounder, clamming, and crabbing. All of his customers returned with big smiles and something for dinner! Our bay flounder head boat the “Bay Bee” also seems to be weeding through the throwback flounder and have been finding a few keepers among the heavy croaker and throwback flounder action. The water is beginning to warm up, and the fish are still showing up!!! Don’t miss your opportunity to fish with Ocean City’s Premier Charter fleet book your trip today!!!
