OFFSHORE: Tuna are officailly here and the chunking has begun. Following tradition everyone waited until after the Tuna Tournament to begin chunking but the chunk bite has been good. Captain Dale Lisi on the “Foolish Pleasures” had a great day today and returned with 5 60 pound yellow fin and borke off a big eye. The “Game On” Captain Jon Yost returned with a nice 50 plus pound yellow fin and reported plenty of tuna activity! INSHORE: The flounder bite is begining to pick back up again and the bay boats are reporting keepers again on all of their trips. Captain Cale Layton on the “Bay Bee” reported a keeper in the morning and a few in the afternoon along with throwbacks. Captain Nick Clemente on the “Get Sum” and Captain John Prather of the “OC Guide Service” had similar reports. We antcipate a busy day again tomorrow and with a good number of boats preparing to chunk for tuna fish we hope for high numbers of tuna fish tomorrow!
