Today was a fantastic day for bay fishing!! None of our boats ventured offshore today, however the “Wrecker” with Captain Jeremy Blunt returned from a half day inshore and reported catching over 15 spinner sharks and a few other species of sharks as well. Captain Mark Sampson on the “Fish Finder” reports a similar morning releasing a variety of shark species. On our bay fishing head boat the “Bay Bee” Captain Cale Layton reported throwbacks between his two trips. It was a good morning on the “Ivy Sea” with Captain Nick Clemente who returned with 2 keeper bluefish and reported throwback blues and rockfish as well. He then took an afternoon trip on the “Get Sum” and returned with 5 keeper flounder. (see photo) Aboard the “OC Guide Service” Captain John Prather retuned with happy customers and 3 nice keepers from his afternoon trip one of which weighed in at 6.5 pounds. (see photo) With Arthur coming up the coast our offshore Captains are taking the time to prepare for the upcoming Tuna Tournament to be held next weekend here at the Ocean City Fishing Center!
