As the smoke from the fireworks subsided the fishing seemed to explode! We had an extremely busy day at the Fishing Center today as nearly all of our fleet went fishing. A n impressive blue fin tuna was caught aboard ton of our private boats the “Out- Rea-Geous.” The bluefin weighed in at 182 pounds and snagged the leaderboard position(see below)! Captain Rob Skillman on the “Moore Bills” had a great day today and returned with his limit on bluefin (1 over and 1 under) the larger weighing in at 158 pounds accompanied by a yellow fin tuna and some dolphin (see below). The large blue fin were among another 6 that were released. Captain Ed Kauffman on the “Jade II” returned from an full day inshore with plenty of bluefish in the box and also reported 2 atlantic sharpnose. On another inshore trip Captain Steve Pfeiffer on the “Game Over” returned with reports of heavy sea bass action. Aboard the “Luna-Sea” Captain Larry Dougherty returned with a nice blue fin.
