As the summer comes to an end, the fishing seems to be picking up just in time for back to school. The “Fish Bonz” with Captain Mark Radcliffe returned to with a white marlin release after trolling at the canyons. Aboard the “Blue Runner” seasoned veteran Captain Steve Reddish released 2 white marlin. To add to the marlin count for the day Captain Ed Kauffman led his crew to two white marlin releases on the “Jade II.” Two white marlin were seen on the “Game Over” with Captain Steve Pfeffier, one of these marlin was weighed in at the Mid Atlantic 500 and is currently holding in third place at 75 pounds. Captain Rob Skillman on the “Moore Bills” returned with a report of one white marlin release, bringing his total for the year to 33 and earning the position for most releases. The “Foolish Pleasures” with Captain Dale Lisi had a good day today returning with 5 nice gaffer dolphin and a report of a white marlin release. One of our private boats the “Luna-Sea” with Captain Larry Dougherty also released a white marlin as well. On a half day inshore the “Last Call” with Captain Franky Pettolina had an exceptional day with 32 bluefish and a Bonita. The “Game On” with Captain Dan also took a half day inshore and returned with a report of bluefish, sea bass and croaker. Captain Ron Taylor on the “Playtime” also had a 1/2 day inshore which produced good numbers of flounder, sea bass, skates and sharks. The “Bay Bee” with Captain Mikey Walsh had a few keepers and plenty of throwback croaker and flounder between his fishing trips today. Captain Nick Clemente on the bay private charter the “Get Sum” had one keeper flounder among large numbers of throwbacks today.
