Of the boats that fished from the marina today almost all returned with reports of good fishing, we saw a good number of tuna today. Aboard the “Tighten Up” Captain Jason Genthner returned with 4 yellow fin tuna, and a decent sized dolphin. Captain Jeremy Shandrowski had a similar day on the “Playmate” hanging a total of 4 yellow fin tuna. Captain Greg Ignash took a break today, and Captain Ron Calis led the crew to 2 nice sized yellow fin tuna. Two more yellow fin were seen off of the “Playtime” with Captain Ron Taylor. The “Samurai I” with Captain Jeremy Blunt returned with 6 yellow fin earning the boat high hook for the day! A little further inshore Captain Franky Pettolina on the “Last Call” returned from a half day of fishing with a report of 12 blue fish releases. Bay fishing seems to be making a comeback after a not so hot weekend. Captain Nick Clemente on the bay private charter the “Get Sum” reports ample throwbacks (under 17″) accompanied by clams and crabs. Captain Cale Layton on the “Bay Bee” returned today with reports of throwbacks, as well as 2 keeper flounder. Tomorrow is the first day of the 8th Annual Kid's classic, and with a great chunk bite offshore, and the flounder fishing warming up hopefully it is a good one.
