A few of our boats decided to fish on the holiday, and were rewarded with some nice catches. The “Samurai I” with Captain Jeremy Blunt returned to the dock with 2 yellow fin, and a blue fin tuna that was 52 inches and weighed in at 78 pounds. The fish was caught by 9 year old junior angler Luke Prince, congrats to Luke on his nice catch! (see photo) Captain Dale Lisi on the “Foolish Pleasures” earned high hook today with 5 yellow fin tuna, the heaviest was estimated to be around 50 pounds. Aboard the “Jade II” Captain Ed Kaufman returned with 3 nice sized yellow fin tuna today, and happy customers. On a trip with “Believe in Tomorrow” Captain Rob Skillman on the “Moore Bills” led a group of really fantastic kids to some bluefish, brown sharks, and sea robins on a 1/2 day inshore trip. The “Game On'” with Captain Dan reported a white marlin release and returned with a yellow fin tuna. Our bay fishing head boat the “Bay Bee” had 4 keeper flounder (18″>) this morning with plenty of throwbacks to satisfy customers. Captain Nick Clemente on the bay private charter the “Get Sum” returned from a great morning with 6 keeper flounder, his afternoon trip produced a keeper flounder as well as half a bushel of crabs. With the fishing heating up “Arts on the Dock” tomorrow should be interesting, so come down and visit us between 4-7 to check out big -fish and handcrafted work for sale, and don’t forget to stop at Micky Fins for drink!
