Today a total of 32 boats left the marina in the hopes of finding fish. A majority of the boats had success. The tuna have stuck around, and we are continuing to see blue fin tunas. Aboard the “Foolish Pleasures” Captain Dale Lisi had a good day releasing 3 white marlin and returning with 2 yellow fin and a nice sized gaffer dolphin. More tuna were seen on the “Samurai I” with Captain Jeremy Blunt who returned with a nice sized blue fin and 4 yellow fin tuna. The “Moore Bills” with Captain Rob Skillman earned high hook today returning with 7 yellow fin tuna as well as a white release. Captain Jason Genthner on the “Tighten Up” also put his crew on the tuna today returning with 3 yellow fins. A similar day was had on the “Blue Runner” with Captain Steve Reddish who also returned with 3 decent sized yellow fin. More tuna were wrangled on the “Playmate” with Captain Jeremy Shandrowski who returned to the docks with 3 yellow fin. On the “Last Call” Captain Franky Pettolina found the fish releasing one white marlin, and returning with 2 dolphin and a yellow fin tuna as well as happy customers! Captain Mark Radcliffe on the “Fish Bonz” released a white marlin today on his full day offshore, and is sure to find more throughout the year! One of our private boats the “Empty Pockets” had 4 yellow fin and a dolphin today nice job guys! With Captain Larry on the “Lunasea” he lead Timothy Stolzfuss to his first tuna on his first trip to Maryland among 4 other tuna as well a dolphin, congrats to Timothy. Bay fishing has remained steady for the past few days. Captain Nick Clemente on the bay private fishing boat the “Get Sum” had a total of 3 keepers, some clams and a bushel of crabs between his two trips today as well as plenty of throwbacks. The “Bay Bee” with Captain Mikey Walsh has been consistently reporting steady numbers of throwbacks and happy customers. The Canyon Kick-off continues for the next few days so hopefully higher numbers of boats will be fishing. Overall the fishing is really picking up, and summer is flying by!
