After an exciting evening on the docks many of our younger anglers and older were tired and took the day off, as a result not too many boats fished today. As the spot tournament was gearing up the “Playmate” with Captain Chad Meeks and mate Steve Moore left on an overnighter with a full crew and a fantastic trip! They returned this morning, early, with their limit of yellow fin (24) and 4 big eyes. All of the yellow fin were caught prior to midnight last night and the total weight on all of the tuna was a whopping 1304 pounds. (photo) Way to go guys!! The “Bay Bee” was the only other boat to fish today and only took its afternoon trip. Captain Cale Layton returned from that trip with a report of one keeper flounder and a decent number of throwbacks. Right now the offshore bite is hot and tuna/marlin are here!!!
