The marina was quite empty this afternoon, as a good number of our boats went fishing. All had luck in their endeavors for fish. High hook goes to Captain Rob Skillman on the “Moore Bills” who returned with 17 yellow fin tuna and a blue fin as well. A white marlin was released on the “Reel Addiction” with Captain Greg Ignash who also returned to the docks with 2 yellow fin and 10 tile fish. More tuna were seen on the “Tighten Up” with Captain Jason Genthner who brought 5 nice fish back to the docks. A 175 pound stringer was seen off of the “Fish Bonz” with Captain Mark Radcliffe, the heaviest yellow fin weighing in at 44 pounds. Captain Jeremey Shandrowski on the “Playmate” also returned from the canyons with happy customers and 6 yellow fin tuna. Aboard the “Last Call” Captain Franky Pettolina did not disappoint managing to snag 7 great sized yellow fin! Captain Wade Lober on the “Why Not” went fishing as well, and saw 3 yellow fin today, all of a good size. The shark fishing specialist Captain Mark Sampson released 4 spinner sharks today and returned with 10 bluefish. Private Boats are also reeling in good numbers of tuna. The “Tom Cat” which is fishing in the MSSA Tunament returned with 3 yellow fin. The Bay fishing has been picking up again. Captain Mikey Walsh on the “Bay Bee” reports decent numbers of throwbacks (>17″). Overall the fishing is really starting to pick up.
