Just as the boats start to roll in for the White Marlin Open, the white marlin started to make an appearance as well. The past few days fisherman have had nothing but reports of plenty of marlin in the area, and it shows. Captain Jason Genthner on the “Tighten Up” released a total of 6 white marlin today. The boat was entered in the “Heels and Reels” tournament hosted by the marlin club which concludes the fourth. Three more white marlin were released on the “Last Call” today with Captain Franky Pettolina. After returning from an overnighter Captain Ed Kauffman on the “Jade II” reported releasing 3 nice white marlin. Captain Dale Lisi on the “Foolish Pleasures” returned with a cart full of dolphin all of various sizes in addition to the 2 white marlin he released during the day. The “Why Not” Captain Wade Lober released a white marlin as well. Two very nice gaffer dolphins were caught aboard the “Playtime” today with Captain Ron Taylor. On one of our private boats the “Reel Attitude” Captain Mark Deimler returned with a yellow fin and a dolphin. Captain Steve Selander on the “Hot Rod” also returned with a dolphin which was accompanied by a white marlin release. Further inshore Captain Mark Sampson on the “Fish Finder” released a variety of shark species today on one of his shark quests. Bay fishing has had better days, but was still a good day none the less. Captain Nick Clemente on the bay private charter the “Get Sum” reported 1 keeper trout accompanied by throwback flounder (<17″) throughout his trips. On the “Bay Bee” our bay fishing head boat Captain Mikey Walsh returned from both of his trips with 3 keeper flounder and reports of good numbers of throwbacks. On our new evening trip Captain Cale Layton reported throwbacks. White marlin have arrived now is your chance to catch the fish that made Ocean City famous, with Ocean City’s Premier Charter Fleet!
