an impressive day

Off shore was an impressive day for the boat “Tighten Up” ran by Captain Jason Genthner releasing 4 nice white marlin. Also, Captain Mark Sampson on “Fish Finder” released 9 sandbar sharks, a lot of sea trout, and some croakers. He also reeled in a 100lbs stingray. Captain Steve Pfeiffer on “Game Over” released a very nice blue marlin, and also reeled in a huge 200lbs stingray. As for the yellow fin bite still continuing off shore, “Jade 2” Captained by Ed Kauffman came back to the docks with 6 nice size tunas. Along with Ed, Captain Dale Lisi aboard “Foolish Pleasures” reeled in 4 yellow fin tunas around fifty pounds each, and “Fish O’ Matic” ran by Steve Mele brought back 3. As for the dolphin bite offshore “Tail to Tale” Captained by Joel Wadkins brought back nice sized dolphins, and so did the boat “About Time” ran by Scott Marsden, along with a lot of trigger fish. Our charter boat “Samurai 1” with Captain Jeremy Blunt aboard, brought back 8 dolphins. As for our bay fishing today “Get Sum” ran by Captain Nick Clemente had 3 keepers in the morning and 20 throw backs. During the sunset trip they came back with 1 keeper and also a lot of throw backs. For our flounder boat “Bay Bee” Captained by Mikey Walsh had 3 keepers in the morning that averaged between 17”-20”. Also having many throw backs, later on during the afternoon they had 1 nice size keeper and many throw backs. Last but not least today Captain Monty Hawkins who runs “Morning Star” dropped 144 sets of blocks at the Jimmy Jackson artificial fish habitat reefs. These blocks will help the growth of these reefs, and help the fish population flourish.
