Today was the first day of the Poor Girls Open and a good number of our boats fished. The “Playmate” with Captain Jeremey Shandrowski was entered in the tournament and was at the scales with 2 big eye tuna the biggest weighing at 192 pounds. Captain Ed Kauffman on the “Jade II” had yet to return from his trip to the scales when we published but he had a nice big eye that was rumored to be 200 plus pounds. The crew of girls on the “Moore Bills” also traveled to the scales today with their big eye and yellow fin. Congrats all the boats on their impressive tuna and trip to the scales! Also in the tournament the “Bill$ 4 Bills” with Captain Mike Conner led his crew of lady anglers to a nice dolphin and a yellow fin. Aboard the “Foolish Pleasures” with Captain Dale Lisi another large big eye was landed, the tuna weighed in at 201 pounds and was followed by a yellow fin. (photo) On one of our “make-up” charters Captain Franky Pettolina had a nice size dolphin today and a group of satisfied customers. On the “Get Sum” with Captain Nick Clemente there were 3 keepers in the morning and afternoon and 4 keepers in the evening. (photo) The “Bay Bee” with Captain Cale Layton also had keepers and throwbacks between all of his trips. The tuna are still here and biting!!!
