Tuna are still here! July 26, 2013

As the month of July comes to an end we are still seeing good numbers and big tuna hit the docks at the Fishing Center. Today the “Blood, Sweat & Tears” with Captain Jeremy Blunt returned to the docks with a 153 pound big eye , 2 yellow fin, and a dolphin. (photo) Captain Jeremy also reported releasing 2 other big eye today as well.  A blue marlin was released among the 14 yellow fin that were brought back to the docks by the “Moore Bills” today.  A nice sized blue fin was brought to our docks today by the private vessel the “No Limits” the crew also returned with a box full of dolphin after trolling near the Hot Dog today. Inshore fishing reports have consisted of black sea bass off of the headboat the “Morning Star.” Captain Mark Sampson of the “Fish Finder” also reports releasing a variety of shark species and returned with a nice Atlantic Sharpnose today. Bay fishing has been good recently as well. The “Bay Bee” with Captain Cale Layton reported throwbacks between all three of its trips today. A keeper was caught on each trip among the throwbacks on the “Get Sum” with Captain Nick Clemente today. Additionally the “Get Sum” had crabs and clams during its four hour bay excursions.
