Quiet day here at OCFC. Capt. Frank aboard the LAST CALL ventured offshore and released 2 White Marlin. Capt. Jeremy on the WRECKER had a 5 hour inshore trip and released many sharks. Capts. As the summer comes to an end the fishing is begining to pick up and most of our boats are catching high numbers of fish. We saw almost every species of fish today and the fishing seems to be picking up. Captain Rob Skillman on the “Moore Bills” had a phenomenal day today and returned with 2 big eye weighing 161 and 127 pounds, along with a 49 pound yellow fin, eight others, and plenty of mahi. It was a good day of fishing out of OCFC. Capt. Jon Yost on the GAME ON returned with their limit (24) of Yellowfin Tuna and reported releasing another 20. Capt. We only had a few boats leave the marina today but everyone caught fish. On the “Reel Attitude” Captain Terry Murray returned with a box full of mahi, 5 yellow fin, and released a white marlin. OFFSHORE: We had only one of our transients brave the forecasted rough seas today to fish the tournament. The “Ahi” went to the scales after a rough day on the ater with a 19.5 pound dolphin.
